The Festival of Urgent Reinventions

THE FESTIVAL OF URGENT REINVENTIONS
A Kinetic Visual Identity for a Global Festival of the Future
The Festival of Urgent Reinventions was a virtual, TED-style festival and hackathon-inspired grant competition for futurists, performers, and thought leaders committed to real change.
As creative lead, I developed a bold, motion-forward digital identity using dynamic typography, 3D treatments, and a refined grid and color system to clarify and energize a layered, multi-part experience. To express the futurist ethos, I emphasized kinetic content across all touchpoints—from teaser videos to in-event graphics—making the experience feel as vibrant as an in-person event while pushing the creative limits of the Zoom platform.
Launched when global virtual events were still rare, the visual system helped drive cross-continental participation: 5,556 attendees across 15 time zones, hundreds of digital and social assets, an outdoor campaign, three website rollouts, and over 200 grant submissions spanning art, activism, and innovation.
