Visual Identity and Editorial Design Elevating Health Justice for Women

Womanly Magazine had been publishing print and digital health information for years, reaching BIPOC women and non-binary people through art and auto-ethnographic literature. After gaining a large following, Womanly needed to elevate their editorial presence to reintroduce the organization as an established health resource. I developed a new visual identity with sophisticated but feminine font choices reminiscent of classic magazines, selecting black and white to let the art and photography shine. I also designed the website and social template system, systematizing a large archive of articles, art, and content through a series of searchable tags. Between 2019 and 2022, I designed key spreads for Womanly’s print issues.
